Now that you’ve made all the other 11 gifts you’ll need something to let those you love know it’s for them – how about a gift tag that doubles as an ornament?! This idea can grow in so many ways but today I show you two options!

Option one would be making an ornament in the shape of the first letter of the receiver’s name. The second option is to just use shapes!

Project Time: 30 minutes – 1 hour

Using fleece (that I had leftover from the new sew fleeces!) I drew out a letter S for one of my nieces. Then I free handed cutting out a heart for another ornament.

As you can see I move the S that has the pen marks on it, to be underneath the other piece so you don’t see the pen marks!

Next you’ll want to sew the two pieces together making sure you can still stuff it! For the heart I sewed so far and then stuffed it and then finished sewing it. For the S I sewed along one side and then stuffed it and sewed the other side. When doing a letter that will have a hole in in, like an R, B, O, etc, I recommend sewing the hole first!

Then I took some yarn and made a loop. You can also use any string or ribbon you’d like! I sewed this looped yarn to the back of the ornament gift tag.

Then I took puff paint and wrote, “Scarlet” on the S ornament so she wouldn’t get confused with any other S’s I make! For the heart ornament I wrote, “Josh + Amanda” Maybe should have made it a little bigger!

I have quite a few more ornaments to make and will be doing these 12 days of handmade holiday gifts a few more times so I can finish out my gift list! What gifts are you guys looking forward to making?

Thanks for following along! I hope y’all enjoyed it and enjoyed all these tutorials and ideas!
