Now before you go off thinking this was a lame and easy, “I can make that Monday” post, let me explain. I thought it was going to be easy also. And for the most part it kind of was. I did find that I had a hard time concentrating on just one area to really imitate these shoes! Also, my colors weren’t exact but I’m surprised at my outcome! For half the cost I was able to make myself a pair of these shoes!
Obviously you can recreate this (I’m showing you now that you can create it in the first place!) and you can decide to do different colors, a different design, whatever! I was drawn (haha) to the lines and dots that formed the picture. I also liked the wilderness vibe, since Inkkas are all creative designs and uniqueness it was really only a matter of time before I imitated them.
First you’ll need your supplies. I bought mine on Amazon. Links are below of what I bought. If you make a purchase from the link provided I will receive a small commission, but your price will not increase. You will need white canvas shoes and an array of colorful permanent markers. I also stuffed mine with plastic bags to help give it shape. This also made drawing on it easier!

I started with the left shoe and with a feature that felt prominent so I could build out the scene from there.
Once I completed the left shoe I moved onto the right shoe. I apologize but I only ended up taking one progress picture of that shoe! Don’t you guys love my, “bear” lol (That’s the red blob)
So like I said, it was an easy project, but at times I had a hard time realizing where I was and what I should be drawing. The point of this project was to make it as close as possible to the example. Normally I would just do my own thing and I did buy another pair of white canvas shoes so I plan to make another one at some point. I really liked the style of the lines and dots! Honestly, copying the style and the way they designed these shoes gave me ideas on how to use simple lines and swirls for my next pair!
Once the actual design part was done I did also color in the sides grey and the back tab pink!
The markers did bleed a little when I was using them so if you take on this project my advice is to be light handed! I found more success with that!
What kind of design will you create? Mountains? Beach? Abstract? I’d love to see your creations! Be sure to tag @creativeunicorncrafts on instagram!
Thanks for checking out this weeks, “I can make that Monday” post. I have several great Mondays lined up and can’t wait to share them all!
XOXO
