Don’t we all LOVE Dollar Tree? Next time you’re there be sure to pick up these supplies so you can have some fun backyard bowling for your next get together – or an indoor bowling tournament for a rainy day! The beauty of this craft is you can go as simple or as complex as you want! Continue reading for ideas!
First you’ll need to gather 10 Stax cans – I find these at Dollar Tree and they’re only $1 a piece! Next go to the toy section and choose a ball. I found an Earth ball which is perfect to promote Earth Day but I also bought a larger pink ball in case that would be easier. I would think any ball would work and if you already have kids that have these kinds of balls, you can save yourself a dollar or two! I also purchased 2 plastic totes to keep the game in when not in use.
I decided to remove the paper and spray paint the cans with white glitter. To be honest I thought it was white paint with glitter but it was clear paint with white glitter – lol! It still worked out! This is where you can get really creative. You can also choose to spray paint these white, or another color and then decorate them! You can use acrylic paints, markers, glitter, stickers – the sky is the limit!
After my spray paint dried I counted down from the top, three of those dashes and using a red sharpie, made the bowling pin stripes!
Now it’s time to bowl! Watch out for your curious furry friends! To be honest my indoor bowling game needs some work haha
How will you decorate your bowling pins?
xoxo
